It provides quality education to the inmates. It has a tie- up with “Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir” for good education. All the inmates of the Children’s Home are reading in Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir School, Niladri Vihar, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The children are reading in different standards from class 1 to class 10. It also provides home tuition every evening.
We are arranging Balvikash class every Sunday at Asha Kiran Children’s Home. Shri Prabhupada Rout, chartered accountant, a volunteer of Asha Kiran Foundation and his team have been taking Balvikash Classes regularly for the last 2 years. They impart basic knowledge of spirituality, behaviour and Yoga to the inmates.
Doctors regularly visit the home for health and eye/dental check-up of the inmates. The girls are also admitted to the nearby hospital in case of emergency. The expenditure in this regard is fully borne by the Foundation.
The Foundation provides nutritious and healthy food four times a day (Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Snacks and Dinner) to the inmates. The diet is being provided as per the guidelines issued by the Government of Odisha. A food menu in this regard is also displayed in the Children’s Home.
Asha Kiran organizes several extracurricular activities like Odissi Dance, Music Class, Stage Performance, Sports & Games, Painting etc for the inmates. We also take the children to the nearby places of importance for their refreshment and exposure. Our Annual Children’s Festival is the prime motivation for promoting creative pursuits among the children.
